Working on finding that balance

I have decided that I do need to rearrange some things that are on my plate.  I need to remember that our Lord and family should come before anything else!  The days that Maddie and I just play, paint, read or whatever are the days that are the best even though the house might not be in total order.  I need to stop trying stressing over everything so much and remember that God is there for us.  That nothing we are going through can even measure what Jesus went through for us!  God has our lives planned before we were even born and He will always be there for us if we only remember that and let Him!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:6

just a little side note- It’s so nice that during the week Maddie is asking to go to church!  If we weren’t an hour away we would be there on Wednesday night too.  She is also, finally, getting excited about reading the Bible too!  We got a little Children’s Devotional book in the mail yesterday from CBH Ministries so we started on that yesterday and I am going to be doing that with her everyday now.  Also check out My Mad World for the little crafts we did on Wednesday, getting ready for Thanksgiving. Seems like when I was younger and the kids were home I stressed out if my house wasn't in order. Then I decided one day that if I wanted more time with them ~ they had to help me. I explained how I needed their help so we could go do some fun stuff.. So pistol grip in hand and clean rags I had them spray front of lower cupboards and wipe them off. No dishwasher, I filled both sinks with water (soap on one side) and let them wash the dishes and put into dish drainer that sat on the counter. (I let the dishes soak before I let them wash them). that way the food was pretty much off the dishes.. They loved washing windows,, who cares if they didn't do a good job, as they got older they could see what they missed. They learned by helping me clean, we could then get to the fun stuff of playing quicker.. It worked~! As they (4) got older they were just used to cleaning with me when they were young and they just helped me out.. it was cool and all my friends watched with envy. I'm doing the same thing with my grandson, Ben..He loves to wash windows and do dishes.. It's so cute. he is 4. He also loves to clean the toilet with the brush..(my kind of man)..lol
