Rest in my Presence, allowing Me to take charge of this day. Do not bolt into the day like a racehorse suddenly released. Instead, walk purposefully with Me, letting Me direct your course one step at a time. Thank Me for each blessing along the way; this brings Joy to both you and Me. A grateful heart protects you from negative thinking. My thoughts:
Many times I do just that, bolt into the day like a race horse. I might still say good morning Lord give Him a little thanks for waking me up again but I need to spend more time in His presence! Take that time to let Him lead me every step of the way with thanksgiving also!! I pray that we all will stop and take time for Him!
So.. a friend of mine was/is doing a daily devotional called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. I decided to head on over iTunes and see what they had since I had a gift card for iTunes. They had it so I got it. I really like it. The one I got is more like an app than the audible book but I still like it.

One of my daughter's professors uses Jesus Calling for some of their devotions. Emily asked for it for Christmas. Such good truths. I, too, enter some of my days like a race horse. I need to learn to enter God's presence and rest there throughout the day.
Oh, and the beauty that is unveiled in the Presence of the Lord! When I don't take the time to pray and meditate, I feel that my day is wasted--missing untold secrets of life that only my Father can uncover. I think all those who have experienced His Presence, can relate to this post. Well, I'm off to create in my art studio and check my Etsy orders. Be blessed!
