How many times have I complained because I can't feel or hear God? Too many! and yet I still continue to go about doing my rush here, rush there, do this do that sometimes forgetting to take time to talk to God or read His word. So why is it then that I wonder why I can't hear Him when I know the reason? Why don't I just stop trying to do so much and just sit and rest, breathe, read, learn and listen. I know there is so much to get done in the day but when we don't take that time to make Him first in our day, to wake up and say good morning Lord, thanks for another beautiful day with my family! Why can't I do that everyday? I have got to start doing that again, waking up praising Him because He let me wake up and chose to let me have another wild, crazy and love filled day with my family!

Amen! My dh and I wake up and read / pray together most mornings...it is a special time for us. Thank you for the reminder to SLOW DOWN...definately something we need to do! Have a wonderfully blessed WFW!
ReplyDeleteAmen amen amen!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the blessed reminder! :)
OUCH my dear Nicole...blessings and good Word! I remember days like that but I'm fortunately in a new season and place where that is how I start, continue and end my days and could not live without it.
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is I thought this was the message because of how it was written out and I found out that it's my New International version. So how did I pass over this so often as I read His Word! That's why WFW is such a blessing because a special verse is chosen and we see it in a new light (set apart and focused)! That wonderful clock and those red letters are convicting! You are so right in your message to us, how starting with Him changes our day and our attitude! Praying and believing for you!!!
Peace and love in Christ,
Peggy
I recently did a read the Bible in 90 days project. I'm so excited to say I loved reading the Bible and I have decided to read it again, only slower. It is so rich.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great post! You (and of course, the scripture) speak the truth.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!! I would find myself in that same position..rushing...or growling because I have to get up so early in the morning for work. This is where I am a work in progress. Thanks for sharing!! Happy WFW!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies!! Happy WFW too!
ReplyDeleteGood reminder to us all.......I was woken by a phone call this morning.....well into the morning, I am the original sluggard now I am retired and add a bit of chronic fatigue to that...dangerous...so it is a bit of a miracle when I am up and alert in the morning...but got up, fed cat and made coffee then went back to bed and read from Daily Light....it was just pure joy..it began "on God my heart is fixed" it was a lovely lead into thanksgiving to have the privilege of knowing Him..hate to admit that I went back to sleep....and missed going out to sit and sew.
ReplyDeleteHowever my slothfulness and frivolity towards it apart...I am really seeking to live consciously in His presence....to be always aware of Him in the everyday come and fro.
Blessings.
Thanks everyone for your kind words and for stopping by!
