Word Filled Wednesday

'For it is Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule, a little here, a little there.  Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues God will speak to His people, to whom He said, "This is the resting place, let the weary rest"; and, "This is the place of repose"- but they would not listen.  SO then, the word of the Lord to them will become: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule: a little here, a little there' ~ Isaiah 28:10-13 NIV

How many times have I complained because I can't feel or hear God?  Too many!  and yet I still continue to go about doing my rush here, rush there, do this do that sometimes forgetting to take time to talk to God or read His word.  So why is it then that I wonder why I can't hear Him when I know the reason?  Why don't I just stop trying to do so much and just sit and rest, breathe, read, learn and listen.  I know there is so much to get done in the day but when we don't take that time to make Him first in our day, to wake up and say good morning Lord, thanks for another beautiful day with my family!  Why can't I do that everyday?  I have got to start doing that again, waking up praising Him because He let me wake up and chose to let me have another wild, crazy and love filled day with my family!

  6. OUCH my dear Nicole...blessings and good Word! I remember days like that but I'm fortunately in a new season and place where that is how I start, continue and end my days and could not live without it.

The funny thing is I thought this was the message because of how it was written out and I found out that it's my New International version. So how did I pass over this so often as I read His Word! That's why WFW is such a blessing because a special verse is chosen and we see it in a new light (set apart and focused)! That wonderful clock and those red letters are convicting! You are so right in your message to us, how starting with Him changes our day and our attitude! Praying and believing for you!!!

    Peace and love in Christ,
    Peggy

  7. I recently did a read the Bible in 90 days project. I'm so excited to say I loved reading the Bible and I have decided to read it again, only slower. It is so rich.

  10. Good reminder to us all.......I was woken by a phone call this morning.....well into the morning, I am the original sluggard now I am retired and add a bit of chronic fatigue to that...dangerous...so it is a bit of a miracle when I am up and alert in the morning...but got up, fed cat and made coffee then went back to bed and read from Daily Light....it was just pure joy..it began "on God my heart is fixed" it was a lovely lead into thanksgiving to have the privilege of knowing Him..hate to admit that I went back to sleep....and missed going out to sit and sew.
However my slothfulness and frivolity towards it apart...I am really seeking to live consciously in His presence....to be always aware of Him in the everyday come and fro.
    Blessings.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. - Ephesians 4:29

Have a blessed day! =)
