Standing in the Gap

As you all might have noticed, I’ve been in a slump lately.  There wasn’t one thing to pinpoint it on but just a lot of things that I have been battling with.  Resentment towards my husband for stuff I don’t want to share right now, feelings of not being a good enough mom and even a good enough Christian.  The last few days though my bible studies have really been right on point for what I have been feeling.  I am finally getting out of the funk and telling that evil satan to leave me and my household alone!  
To GO AWAY!
I wanted to say thank you to those that have been praying for me and standing in that gap for me when I couldn’t.  I am so humbled to have such great brother’s and sister’s in Christ that will pray for others even when they have their own issues to deal with!  Thank you again and I especially want to praise The Lord for waiting patiently, listening to my complaining prayers and for sticking by me when I felt like I was failing in everything!

but as children of Christ, we can say.. "Go Ahead..bring it on.. because in the long run satan you have to deal with my Father, His name is God..Remember Him.. He is the one who put you in your place back in the day, and keeps you in your place now!"

 






Here are a few verses that really helped me.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins ad purify us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9

As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you.  And I will teach you the way that is good and right. ~ 1 Samuel 12:23

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying or all the saints.  Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. ~ Ephesians 6:18-19

A Prayer for the Ephesians
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom His whole family in Heaven and on earth derives its name.  I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.  And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen

  1. I will continue to pray for you my friend. Going through the valley can be tough but keeping your eye on the palace will get you through.

  2. God is there for everyone and you do not need to be a perfect Christian for him to love you and help you. Maybe you are being too hard on yourself. Keep praying and you will be lead to your answers.

  4. Nicole.. I so know how you feel.. It seems that Satan has came at me and my family with both barrels lately.. from finances, emotions, health all the way to appliances breaking down... He really Sucks..(Satan).. but as children of christ, we can say..   9. Wow,,this definitely was the Lord's leading me here this morning. I could SO relate to every thing you wrote. Thank you SO much for covering us with God's Word, where it is soaking in within our spirits, lifting us up, strengthening and comforting us to continue on fighting the good fight of faith..

    Please know I am praying for you sweet sis and please pray for me also. Like you I just don't want to go into it but definitely need prayers for my husband and I.
