Jesus Calling~ April 4th

I meet you in the stillness of your soul.  It is there that I seek to commune with you.  A person who is open to My Presence is exceedingly precious to Me.  My eyes search to and fro throughout the earth, looking for one whose heart is seeking Me.  I see you trying to find Me; our mutual search results in joyful fulfillment.
Stillness of soul is increasingly rare in this world addicted to speed and noise.  I am pleased with your desire to create a quiet space where you and I can meet.  Don’t be discouraged by the difficulty of achieving this goal, I monitor all your efforts and am blessed by each of your attempts to seek My Face.

Be still before the Lord, all mankind, because He has roused Himself from His holy dwelling." ~Zechariah 2:13

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars. ~2 Chronicles 16:9 (NKJV)

He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.  He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His names sake.  ~Psalm 23:2-3(NKJV)

My thoughts:

I love that He is searching for those that love Him, whose hearts are seeking Him!  What wonderful confirmation of how much He loves us!!
We must seek Him if we ever want that peace.  Only He can restore our souls!!

Jesus callingSo.. a friend of mine was/is doing a daily devotional called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. I decided to head on over iTunes and see what they had since I had a gift card for iTunes. They had it so I got it. I really like it. The one I got is more like an app than the audible book but I still like it.

  1. I was particularly touched today by the message that my attempts to live in communion with Him are a blessing to Him! I had never truly considered myself as a blessing to Him. Honoring Him, Praising Him, Glorifying Him, yes. But blessing Him? What an honor!

  2. Such a wonderful post! I revel in being a blessing to Him-what an humbling honor--tears of joy, love and adoration for Him wanting me--little old sinful me. I am so thankful! Joy spreads through my soul! Thank you, so much, for this post!

  3. I wont go into my circumstances that have brought me closer to the Lord, for he knows well enough, but I will say that I have spent the past weeks and days searching for His voice through my chaos! Its warming to ready this today when I needed it so badly. I have gotten many answers from the Lord today and I feel so blessed that He is hearing my heart and working to calm my mind so that I may continue to hear Him. Makes me thankful for my cataclismic situation!!

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. - Ephesians 4:29

Have a blessed day! =)
