Bear with each other & forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Ephesians 5:31
There are several other mentions of this in the bible so you know He really means it!
Genesis 2:24
Matthew 19:5
Mark 10:7-8
Loving each other the way our Father wants to is a lot of work sometimes, but it is so worth it! It’s harder to do when only one of you is wanting to please the Lord but the more and more you do it the easier it becomes and that seed does get planted in the other to do so as well. I am not saying that we have the perfect marriage, a lot of times it is far from it, but it is so much better than it has been in years! I thank God for that! I need to remember to thank Him for that everyday. There are some days that I thank Him for other things but our marriage should be one of the top on that list!!
The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with a singing. Zephaniah 3:17
I want Him to continue to sing over us! So I will do my best to continue to let Him quiet me with His love! Pin It

Bottom line is LOVE~! Love one another as if we were the other. WHen I worked at the school as a custodian~ I would write this on the blackboard after I finished cleaning the classroom one evening. I had 19 classrooms I cleaned.. At the end of a week it was still written on the board.. Amazing~! Getting along is so important and sometimes we just need to be quiet..
Love your blog and Love the post~!

Hi Nicole,
As I read this, I thought about what Paul wrote in Colossians 3:23:
"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." (NLTB)
I don't believe you'll find anyone professing a perfect marriage, but like you, I have to work at being a good husband. What has often sabotaged me, are my expectations and disappointments; I've placed to high a premium on what I expect rather than accepting her for who she is.
This is totally opposite of how I want to be viewed, and how God views me. I look for a place to hide if God looked at me with my attitudes of my wife. I do appreciate that she loves me, and that her love is uniquely hers; not mine. My love has been selfish, but God is working on that for me, so I give Him the praise.
I hope you three have a good weekend with warmer temperatures.
Blessings and peace.
