{Praise Him!}

For I cried out to Him for help, praising Him as I spoke.~ Psalm 66:17
You know, as silly as it sounds, when I prayed I used to always just pray for things, for what was bothering me at the time and ending it at that.  (ok, may not be silly to some) After I rededicated, and I found these wonderful books by Neta Jackson did I really understand what it meant to praise Him with prayer. 

That sometimes you can pray without even asking for anything, you can pray and just praise our Father for who He is!!!  Once they started talking about that in her books, it just kinda clicked!  I am still not the best at it but the ladies over at The Imperfect Wives have also helped me with learning how to praise Him. 

It is just wonderful to be able to pray and give thanks to the Lord for who He is and for what He does!!  He is the Almighty, the One that made this beautiful world, the One that made me who I am, the One that gave me my husband and my wonderful daughter!!  That is a big praise right there!! 

Daddy we want to praise You today for all that You are and all that You do!  We want to praise You first of all for giving Your only Son to teach us Your ways, to die for us and set us free. 
I want to thank You and praise You for letting me live in a country where I can praise You freely, where I can say Your name out loud without fear!  I want to thank You for this wonderful world You made, the beauty that You gave us as a reminder of Your great power!
I want to praise You for always being faithful, for never giving up on us.  For giving me my loving family, for not giving up on me and taking me back after all these years!  I want to praise You for bringing such wonderful brothers and sisters into my life!!
I want to praise You for Your awesome ways!  No matter what is going on, it is going on for a reason, even when I don’t understand it You have a bigger and better plan in store!  I want to praise You for showing me that!!
Thank You Daddy for all that You do and all that You are!!
