Jesus Calling~ March 24th

This is a time in your life when you must learn to let go: of loved ones, of possessions, of control.  In order to let go of something that is precious to you, you need to rest in My Presence, where you are complete.  Take time to bask in the Light of My Love.  As you relax more and more, your grasping hand gradually opens up, releasing your prized possession into My care.

You can feel secure, even in the midst of cataclysmic changes, through awareness of My continual One who never changes: I am the same yesterday, today, and forever.  As you release more and more things into My care, remember that I never let go of your hand.  Herein lies your security, which no one and no circumstance can take from you.

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your presence, Lord. ~Psalm 89:15

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever ~Hebrews 13:8

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
~Isaiah 41:13

My thoughts:
Love this!  I do need to let go of some things and take more time to bask in His Light!  He is the One that is always there, never leaves, never changes and simply waits on us!  Why should I make Him wait, shouldn’t I make time with Him the first thing I do?

These verses are so powerful too, just love them!!
Jesus callingSo.. a friend of mine was/is doing a daily devotional called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. I decided to head on over iTunes and see what they had since I had a gift card for iTunes. They had it so I got it. I really like it. The one I got is more like an app than the audible book but I still like it.

My sister's husband died on Feb 24. She and her daughters (young women) all feel a pang, or a major heart ache on the 24th of every month. The one month anniversary of his passing, March 24th was especially hard, being the first. My sister picked up Jesus Calling and felt so loved by what she read. She posted about it today on facebook and I googled to read it and found your blog. Thanks for posting it.

I am so sorry to hear of their loss. It is always hard to move on when you lose a loved one. It is also so amazing how God shows us in so many different ways, His word, a devotional in this case, or just other simple ways that He is there for us, with us, and that we just need to give it all to Him. He will help us through it as we grieve, fight and cry. He understands and is always there with open arms! So happy that she read this particular day when she needed it most!
