If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. 6 But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

His Word Friday

Friday Meme

1 Corinthians 2

1 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.

God’s Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit

6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written:

   “What no eye has seen,
   what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love Him—

10 these are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. 14The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,

“Who has known the mind of the Lord
   so as to instruct him?”

But we have the mind of Christ. Pin It

Word-filled Wednesday

Dancing Woman - Big Size
Most of you know that I just love this photo, that she was my main banner for so long.  When I was looking for an image, this one I found and she just looked like I felt and still do.  So happy, so carefree so loved, a new woman!  The daughter of Christ, dancing for her King!

The verse I have always loved.  This woman went through so much for so many years, and the fact that her faith was so strong.  That she knew that if she just got close enough to Jesus, to just touch His robe, that she would be healed.  This is such a wonderful, powerful, comforting verse to me too.  The fact that my faith has healed me from so many things.  So many days I have felt like Jesus was saying this to me!!

Then He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.  Go in peace” Luke 8:48

His Word Friday

Friday Meme

from Life Application Study Bible

Theme: Confidence in God’s eternal love.  God’s love is unchanging in the midst of changing situations.  This gives us security. (italics by me)

Psalm 118

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.

Let Israel say: “His love endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron say: “His love endures forever.” Let those who fear the Lord say” “His love endures forever.”

In my anguish I cried to the Lord and He answered by setting me free. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.  What can man do to me?  The Lord is with me; He is my helper.  I will look in triumph on my enemies.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.  It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.

All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the Lord I cut them off.  They surrounded me on every side, but in the name of the Lord I cut them off.  They swarmed around me like bees, but they died out as quickly as burning thorns; in the name of the Lord I cut them off.

I was pushed back and about to fall, but the Lord helped me.  The Lord is my strength and my song, He has become my salvation.

Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous:  “The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things?  The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”

I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.  The Lord has chastened me severely, but He has not given me over to death.

Open for me the gates of righteousness; I will enter and give thanks to the to the Lord.  This is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous may enter.  I will give You thanks, for You answered me; You have become my salvation.

The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.  This is the day the Lord has make; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

O Lord, save us; O Lord, grant us success.  Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.  From the house of the Lord we bless you.  The Lord is God and He has made His light shine upon us.  With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession up to the horns of the altar.

You are my God, and I will give You thanks; You are my God, and I will exalt You.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.
