Thankful Thursday

Today I am joining in again with Thankful Thursday.  It’s been awhile since I have done one. 

Today I am Thankful that our Lord never gives up on us, that He is constantly there for us, helping, encouraging and always there with open arms!

I am also thankful for a husband that does love me even though he doesn’t always know how to show it but he sure knows how to surprise me sometimes!!  He is a good man and loves us so very much.

I am thankful for our wild and crazy little daughter.  I might complain about her little attitude but I am thankful she is here and is healthy enough to have some fire that goes with that attitude!  She can be so cute and looks so grown up when she has her hands on her hips telling us, “You can’t control me!”  lol  At 3 1/2 years old she is already telling us that!   Good times! 

I am thankful for my mom, for the love she showed me when I was growing up, making sure I went to church to learn about God and His powerful Son!  I am thankful she taught me that and that she showed me I need to love people for what is on the inside, not on the outside.  She is always there to support me no matter what, there when I just need to yell and let it all out and cry on her shoulder, there for hugs and the laughter.  When I was younger I never figured she would be my best friend.  I love you momma!!

I am thankful for some wonderful friends!  Even though we hadn’t really talked in almost 10 years once we got back together it was like we never left and our friendship is stronger than it was back then.  I just wish it wouldn’t have taken the death of one of our best friends to bring us back together but maybe that was the good that came out of the bad.  They are such great Christian friends and it is so nice to have friends like that in the ‘real’ world!  lol  Not that I don’t love all my blogging friends too!

and of course, I have told you all so many times, I am SO thankful for all my blogging friends too.  Thank you so much for joining in on my exciting journey.  Love all my brothers and sisters!!

 I am also thankful that this morning I woke up to an email telling me I (my other blog) have been featured on Bloggers!!   How amazing is that!?

It's Thursday

so I am telling you something good and what I am thankful for!

You turned my wailing into dancing;
       you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,  

Psalm 30:11

Even in my worst days, I am still thanking and praising the Lord for what He has done for me!!  I am so happy now and so full of joy that it really seems weird sometimes.  It's just something I am not used to, finally feeling peaceful.  Knowing God is in control and that everything I do is because of Him, because He created me and has a plan for me!  For ME!  Isn't that cool?  Even though I have no idea yet what that plan is, I am excited to find out! 




For my tell me something good.. 
Today was just a long, hurried morning and Mad was a ball of energy since 6a this morning!  We went to Story Time and when I got home there was a package for me!  A week ago I entered a Bento Giveaway and I actually won!!  I was so happy!!  I got the package in the mail today and it really perked me up.  Really got some cute stuff!  You will have to go check out My Mad World to see what I got.  Funny how the little things can just make me smile!

Thankful Thursday

 I am so thankful for our church, my family, and my blogging family too!  It is so nice to have people to go to when I need help with praying, questions or just praising!  It also helps to have others to get their opinions on His word also.  To me everyone has that certain verse, scripture, chapter, book that they love and that just touches them in a certain way.  When they share their insight on it then sometimes I can go back and reread it and look at it in a different light.  Not every verse is going to hit everyone a certain way though it just depends on what they are going through at the time.  So this week I am thankful that I have a strong Christian family here in the real world and in the 'online' world.  I am thankful for you all!!  God bless you and keep you all!!

Thankful Thursday

"Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

 This week I wanted to say that I am thankful that God watched over my little girl and her aunt & uncle and family as they went on vacation the end of last week.  Maddie had a great time and she got to visit with her great grandma and great aunt & uncle's.  So thankful that she had the opportunity to go with them on that long vacation.  She was gone 4 days!  Thank you Lord for keeping her safe, and for not letting her get too homesick and for bringing them home safely too.  

Also thankful that He was with me as I had a tooth pulled on Tuesday.  It wasn't too bad but the dentist was worried about how long the roots were and he did have to work a bit to get it out. 
I am thankful that God was there with me and with the dentist, making him strong enough to pull it out!  

I am also thankful that my husband has the week off!  Monday we cooked out and then Tuesday he took Maddie out shopping (for 4 hours!) so I could get some rest after having my tooth pulled.  Wed we just hung around the house and played with Maddie.  Today we are supposed to be going to Lawton and I can't wait!! 

Thank you God for giving us everything that we need.  Thank you for being there for us every step of our journey, for guiding us in the right direction.  Thank You for all You do!  Everything always works out some how even when we aren't sure about.  You have things under control and we need to remember that!  Thank you Lord, for being such an awesome God!!!

Thankful Thursday

This week I am so thankful that God is always there for us and will never leave us!  He is such a comfort and is always there for you when you need a friend to talk with.  So glad that He is understanding too and will always take us back!!  He will be there when you are having family problems, when you feel lonely, tired and when you just need to let it all out.  You can always give all your problems to Him and He will help you through it all!  So amazing how He can do so much for so many of us and never get tired of helping us out!!  What an amazing and awesome God we have!!!


And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. - 1 John 4:16
