A quick Thank You note..

Thank You Lord for all You have done for us this past year.  For bringing me back to You!  Thank You for teaching me to be what You want for me.  Thank You for being so patient with me when I don’t always listen, for my rambling prayers and thoughts, for always being there for me when I need You to lean on.  For helping us survive the loss of our best friend, for showing us that even though we loved him so, we have to move on and make sure we don’t forget our family while we are grieving.  Thank you for letting us find a church we love, for Brother Tom and the church family, for letting Bro Tom be the one to baptize me by immersion, the way You intended it to be.  For providing for us and giving my husband the strength and the knowledge to do his job well.  Thank you for the unexpected gifts You have sent us too.  Thank You for the new brothers and sisters I have found online and in the church.  For letting them open their arms to me and help encourage and strengthen me!

This past year would not have been so great if it wasn’t for You!  There have been bumps but I know that You are in control and nothing is done that isn’t Your will.  We just have to trust in You to know that it is what is meant to be!  I love You with all my heart and just wanted to Thank You!  Also to ask that You still be patient with me as I keep walking this wonderful path.  Please continue to walk with me and when You don’t then please continue to carry me!  I put this new year in Your hands and trust that You will not give us more than we can handle, that You will continue to provide for us, physically, emotionally and spiritually!!  Thank You Father!!!  And thank you for sending Your Son, our Brother, to make that ultimate sacrifice for all of us!

I pray that this New Year You will continue to bless us, give us strength, knowledge, patience, peace, love, grace, forgiveness and strength!  May nothing come our way that wasn’t meant by You!!  Thank You for being such a Sovereign Lord!!

Have you thanked our Father for all He has done for you?

Thank You!

My husband is truly a blessing!

Why is it that sometimes I have to remind myself that?  How come I tend to focus more on the couple of things he does that annoy me instead of all the good that he does do for me and our family?

We both had some wild times when we were younger, hung out with some crazy people but if we would have done that then we wouldn’t have met.  I truly believe that God let me to him.  God didn’t make me do the wild things I did in the past but He turned that into something good, made sure that it did lead me to my loving husband.  A husband that works hard for us, loves us deeply and would do anything for us!  He can be a very quiet person, not one to show his emotions and those are the times that I tend to focus on and wonder if he really does love us, but I know deep down that he does.  That is just nasty ol’ satan trying to plant that seed in me so I will continue to have resentment towards my husband.  Well guess what satan?  You need to get out!  I will NOT listen to you anymore!  I will listen to my Father and to what I know in my heart!  My husband is a good man, a strong and loving man!  One that knows how to hold his tongue,  better than I do, one that knows how to control his temper, better than I do, one that would do anything for his family or his friends.  A man that doesn’t always know how to show that what he is feeling but when he does he does it well!  The times he does get me a card or remember things, my birthday or anniversary he surprises me with such amazing cards and sometimes gifts and that makes up for the times he doesn’t know how to show them.

Thank You Father for leading me to my husband, for making us find each other through all the craziness!  Thank You for never letting us give up on each other, for being there for each other, for making us pull things out of each other when we need to.  Please continue to be there for us, to help keep satan away from this marriage and this family!  Please continue to bless us and to protect us!  In Your beautiful name, Amen!!
